Can Coca
Can Coca was built around 1900 on a gentle slope – supposedly for the mayor of Son Carrió.
'Coca' is Catalan for 'cake' – the finca has always had this name, and today it reminds us of fragrant pastries fresh from the wood-fired oven, from sweet treats to savoury vegetable toppings – best of all when they come out of the finca's own wood-fired oven.
From the finca you enjoy a wonderful view towards the coast and across the gently rolling hills of the Llevant.
The property lies in an idyllic, secluded rural setting, away from flight paths and tourist bustle, surrounded by 3.4 hectares of the finca's own fields with olive, almond and carob trees. Downhill, the only neighbours you will see are sheep; at the back of the property, facing away from the house, there is just one neighbouring plot, so Can Coca is completely private.
The finca consists of a main house, a guest house and a utility and storage building attached to the main house.
Most of the buildings were rebuilt around 25 years ago. Both houses have been renovated in recent years.
You stay in our guest house. The main house is never occupied during your holiday, so that you – just like us – can enjoy your getaway in complete privacy!
How you'll live with us
The guest house offers approx. 70 m² of living space with an open-plan living and dining area, an adjoining kitchenette and a fireplace.
There is also a bathroom with shower and washbasin, and two bedrooms, each with a double bed (180 x 200 cm) and direct access to the small orchard terrace.
The whole house has underfloor heating, and the bathroom also has a heated towel rail. The bedrooms are air-conditioned.
In the utility room you will find a washing machine and other useful everyday items.
But since life in Mallorca mostly happens outdoors, you have a very generous outdoor area at your disposal: set in the Mediterranean garden there are around 300 m² of open and covered natural stone terraces, including a roof terrace for sunbathing out of the wind, as well as a very large pool.
Can Coca also has an old bread oven, a barbecue area and a small, romantic orchard where – depending on the season – you are welcome to help yourself to oranges, lemons, figs, almonds and herbs.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and almost everywhere on the grounds.
A little bit extra
In the house, a portable Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker, a TV, underfloor heating and free Wi-Fi make your holiday that little bit more comfortable.
The bathroom with shower is fitted with natural stone tiles and high-quality fixtures and furniture. Besides a heated towel rail, an illuminated mirror and a make-up mirror, you will find thick, high-quality hand and bath towels made of Egyptian cotton, a hairdryer and a few toiletries for a pleasant start to your holiday.
In the kitchen, a Nespresso coffee machine, a milk frother, a toaster, a kettle, a fan oven, a microwave, an induction hob and – above all – a dishwasher make life easier.
Outdoors there is also a high-quality gas barbecue, a wood grill and a wood-fired oven.
Several seating areas are arranged on the open and covered terraces, along with four adjustable teak sun loungers with comfortable cushions for relaxing hours.
The pool, approx. 10 x 5 m and 1.75 m deep, has a counter-current system and can be illuminated at night.
There is also a solar-powered pool shower which, thanks to the many hours of sunshine, offers a pleasant water temperature even in the cooler months.
